Units

In the literature and on websites, you’ll see several units being used to measure glycemia. I personally use the US standard (mg/dl) because that’s the first unit I was exposed to when my cat got diabetes.

You can convert from one unit to the other fairly easily:
– The international standard is mmol/l. mmol/l = mg/dl / 18
– In France, doctors tend to use g/l. g/l = mg/dl / 100
